A Wi-Fi hotspot is a device that allows you to connect your computers and smartphones to the Internet anywhere you have 4G network coverage: at home, on the bus, in the park, or on vacation. Our hotspots are covered by Sprint's mobile network--check their coverage map to see where you can go.
The library has 10 hotspots acquired through TechSoup's Mobile Beacon donation program for nonprofits. Checkout is for one week; only Fremont Library cardholders can place holds, but cardholders from other librariaries may check out a hotspot if it is on the shelf. Each hotspot can connect up to 10 devices to the internet (phones, computers, tablets, etc.).
You can place a hold on a hotspot using our catalog, or by calling the library at 847-918-3225. Stop by the Reader's Service desk on the first floor to see if one is available.
