Home Delivery

Library materials can be delivered to people who have disabilities or health problems that make coming to the library difficult. Please contact Rick Becker at 847-918-3205.

Who is eligible?
Residents of Fremont Public Library District who have health conditions that make coming to the library difficult. Home deliveries can be arranged on a long-term or short-term basis.

What library materials would be available to me?
Anything that is available to patrons who come into the the library building. Books, audiobooks, videos, magazines and compact discs can all be delivered to your home.

How often can I get deliveries?

Deliveries vary from as often as every week to once a month. Because of due dates of materials, deliveries cannot be spread out further than that. For more sporadic deliveries, consider finding a friend who would pick up materials via curbside or you. We are happy to facilitate that for you.

Is there any charge for this service?
This service is free to anyone who lives in our district.

I have heard about a federal program that provides books on cassette for the disabled. How does that work?
This is the program for the blind and physically challenged. Fremont Public Library does not have direct access to this program. However, the Home Delivery Coordinator will be happy to assist a patron who wishes more information. See the link below for the National Library Service, or call 1-888-659-7323.
