The Friends & Foundation are pleased to announce our new donation bin located outside the front entrance of the library.
We gladly accept new and gently used books to sell in our Book Nook and other seasonal book sales. The money raised from these sales goes back to the library to pay for materials, events, furnishings, and other needs. Thank you for supporting your library!
BOOKS WE CANNOT ACCEPT:
Our Book Nook is fairly small, as is our volunteer group, so we cannot accept more than 50 books per day from any single donor. For large donations, or donations of media other than books, please consider these other options:
Bernie's Book Bank (children's books only)
Sparrow's Nest Thrift Store - Mundelein
St. Vincent DePaul Thrift Store - Libertyville
You may also sell your items to Half Price Books in Vernon Hills.
The Friends and Foundation of Fremont Public Library District is the main fundraising body and a 501c3 organization. We believe that a good public library is vital to the intellectual, cultural and social growth of our community.
We organize and maintain the “Book Nook,” offering for sale donated and library withdrawn books, movies, music, audiobooks, and more.
We facilitate all monetary donations that come to the library, including those from the annual giving campaign.
The Friends encourage everyone to shop from the Nook under the stairs in the library whenever the library is open. There are prices on the books or signs with the suggested price, but anything you can give is welcome. You can put cash in the box or dragon, or pay online with a credit card or your PayPal account.
In addition to Donating Online, you can also make a donation via check or cash by printing and completing this form and mailing it with your donation to the library or drop it off at any Help Desk inside.
Friends and Foundation members volunteer to organize the Book Nook to sell withdrawn items to the public. The proceeds directly benefit Fremont Public Library.
The group meets the 2nd Wednesday of the month at 1pm in the Community Room on the second floor. All are welcome!
