Alternatives to Conventional Lawns
Speaker: Bob Dahm, from Organic Bob, LLC
Bob Dahm, from Organic Bob, LLC often says “the most organic lawn may be the part you remove”. There are areas of lawns where it is tough to grow grass, so instead plant a low maintenance garden in that area. Shady gardens, mini prairie or sun loving gardens work well.
Dahm also is concerned about endangered pollinators. He knows that small bees have a very small range. He will share with you a Bee Lawn, which was developed by the University of Minnesota Bee Lab.
Bob loves to share what he’s learned over the years about organic and sustainable growing practices. He knows that even a small corner of your lawn can make a difference.
