Brian Michalski had no idea where Myanmar (formerly Burma) was on the map before leaving on his 22-month solo backpacking journey around the world. It ended up a surprise favorite due to its untouched natural beauty, rich history, charmingly simple infrastructure, creative cuisine and generosity of locals.

Come along on this photo-rich adventure as we examine visa processes, regional safety, obstacles and solutions while traveling through this immensely rewarding Southeast Asian gem.
