Each month, we’ll discuss classic and contemporary films while enjoying sweet treats, provided by the Library. No deep film knowledge required, just a love for good movies and good company. This month’s movie: The Unknown Country
Plot: After a personal loss, Tana hits the open road in her grandmother's Cadillac, driving from her home in Minnesota to attend her cousin's wedding in South Dakota and reconnect with her Oglala Lakota family. Inspired by an old photograph, Tana sets off to retrace her grandmother's journey from decades before, embarking on a cross-country road trip through the Midwest to Texas, and finding renewed connection with the world through the everyday people who've settled far from the main roads.
