Join life-long astronomy enthusiast Robert Karas as he prepares us for the solar eclipse Monday, and offers interesting lore, legend, and science about eclipses past and present. 

Are you ready for the Great American Eclipse, which will cross southern Illinois on Monday, August 21st?

What is an eclipse, and how do you view it safely? Where is the best place to view it this time? How much will be visible locally?

Join life-long astronomy enthusiast Robert Karas as he prepares us for the solar eclipse Monday, and offers interesting lore, legend, and science about eclipses past and present. 

Attendees will receive a free pair of eclipse viewing glasses to keep, and are invited to bring them to our eclipse viewing party on Monday at Community Park, which we are co-hosting with the Mundelein Park & Recreation District.
