If your card is from another library, you must use the apps provided by your home library.
Overdrive (Libby App) is the only e-book provider for libraries that also includes access to Kindle books, although not all eBooks are playable on Kindle readers. The ebooks and audiobooks in Fremont's Libby/Overdrive app have all been curated by Fremont Librarians.
Each cardholder may have 5 checkouts at a time. Items may be renewed two days before the due date if no one else is waiting. You can return titles early to free up your number of available checkouts, and you can place holds on unavailable titles as well as those that you recommend through the Overdrive website.
Most of the Hoopla catalog is available for instant borrows, making it great for when you want to read the sequel right now! There's also an easy "Kids Mode" that will hide adult titles from view.
Each cardholder may borrow 20 total Hoopla items per month. A new set of borrows are issued the 1st of each month; unused borrows do not roll over. We have also added Flex Borrows that are one person at a time, limit 5 borrows at a time of any Flex titles.
To read books or listen to audiobooks offline, you must use the mobile app.
Choose from over 4,000 popular magazine titles from around the world. Borrows of magazines do not count towards your total of 5 allowed eBook checkouts at a time.
In the Libby App for Apple or Libby App for Android you can click "Subscribe" to get automatic downloads of the latest issue of the magazine to your shelf when it is released, so you never miss an issue.
Read online or download the app to access newspapers from around the country, including the Chicago Tribune, as well as popular magazines from around the world.
America's News carries smaller local papers from around the country in a database (text only) format that is searchable and printable. The library also pays for the image version of these local newspapers:
Stream movies through an internet browser, TV or mobile app. The collection offers more than 30,000 independent and documentary films from The Criterion Collection, The Great Courses, and thousands of independent filmmakers.
You get 10 play credits per month. Each movie costs one credit to play.
Play credits reload on the 1st of the month. Unused credits do not roll over. Once you start playing a movie, you have 72 hours to complete it. You can watch the video as many times as you'd like in that 72-hour period.
Kanopy Kids offers quality children's video such as PBS kids. Kids plays do not count against your monthly play credits.

Stream full albums, playlists or individual songs ad-free for 8 hours per day.
Download up to 5 songs per week that you can keep forever. A new set of downloads starts each Monday at midnight. Unused downloads do not roll over.
Check out the latest popular music albums like you would a CD. Music checks out for 7 days and can be downloaded for offline use when using the mobile app.
