Join art historian Michelle Mishur as we explore Gustav Klimt's works of arts, such as "The Woman in Gold."
Art historian Dr. Michelle Mishur discusses important examples of Klimt’s work, including The Kiss and The Portrait of Adele Bloch-Bauer (aka “The Woman in Gold”). Dr. Mishur also places Klimt within the art historical context of late nineteenth century French painting including the Impressionist, Post-Impressionist and Symbolist movements.
Speaker information: Dr. Mishur is co-owner of Art Excursions, a company that provides private guiding in Chicago, lectures, and boutique art and culture tours in the United States. A popular speaker about art historical and travel topics, she has her Ph.D. in Art History from The University of Wisconsin-Madison and has taught at the university level for many years.
