Our speaker for July will be Tom Simpson, Field Station Ecologist at McHenry Conservation District. His program The Role of Squirrels and Blue Jays in Oak Reproduction will include the importance of our oaks, why we are seeing such low numbers of young trees and how these two animals are playing a key role in the successful regeneration of our most valuable native tree, the oak.
